Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm walking the North Downs Way (125 miles) throughout the Easter holidays with other local scouts. We'll be walking 12-15 miles each day, with just 2 days to rest in the 2 weeks. Starting in Farnham, and ending up in Dover on Easter weekend.

We've had a practice hike over a weekend, walking 13 miles each day, so we all know it's not going to be easy, but we're looking forward to making new friends and having a good time. I've decided that I want to also raise money for Equal People Performing Arts while doing this though, to support a charity that I love.

I've been going to Mushroom Theatre Company, who work with Equal People Performing Arts for several years. It was great to get our new building and be able to provide more activities, but there's still so much more we could do to help other children enjoy performing arts.  I spend about 8 hours a week at the new Studios - both in my own dance/drama/singing classes, but also helping with the Special Needs Musical Theatre class on a Saturday and as a buddy on some of the short breaks workshop days.

The corridor at the back of the building is cold and draughty, and "Studio 3" is still a bit of a junk room. With your help this can change. We want to put a care room in to help some of the disabled children and young adults, and we want to turn Studio 3 into a fully-equipped drama studio and performance space. I hope that the money I raise doing this will help that to happen.
