It's been a life long ambition to run the London marathon and rays of sunshine have given me the privilege to run for the team and to raise money for an incredible charity. 

I had personal experience of this charity when I was 12. My brother was diagnosed with a brain tumour and rays of sunshine granted him an amazing wish and gave us family days out such as a day at LegoLand and attending a concert at the Royal Albert hall. These days gave us time to be together as a family and a chance to create happy memories which were invaluable. Having a sibling with a serious illness can make you feel left out, but this charity were incredible and included the whole family in days out. I just want to give back to this charity so they can help other families going through challenging times. 

Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and support the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day.
