Paris Marathon 2013 · 7 April 2013 ·
For those of you that know me will know that my dad use to drive me to school because I refused to walk a mile as it was too far..... I use to write letters on behalf of my mum to excuse me from PE lessons......
It is safe to say exercise was the last thing on my mind..... until I met my current partner who encouraged me to run 5k which i might add nearly killed me...... eventually he managed to persuade me to do a half marathon and after training once I managed to successfully complete but was not able to walk for a week thereafter....
So you may be asking yourself why an earth am I putting myself through this... well the answer is simple. Why not?? I am going to Paris with my partner and my bestest friend to run 26 miles for a charity close to my heart. What better way than to raise money for such a great cause.
What I would also like to add I signed up for the marathon in september when the weather was nice however I have been running in Artic conditions and I can honestly say it has been tough from a water infrecton to chill blames on my bum and to make matters worse I have not had a pedicure for over 3 months!. Fortunately my water bill has decreased given the fact that my hair has been washed frequently by the rain and snow.... having said all that I have enjoyed every minute!!!
For those of you who dont know about Little Havens they are a charity when a family has been told that there’s no cure for their child’s illness, Little Havens Hospice can help. Their specialist care is free but they have to raise £100,000 every week to be there for everyone who needs them. That's only possible because of you. Together we're 'Making every day count'.
