Story
Rosh and I are throwing ourselves out of a plane from 15,000 feet IN FANCY DRESS** on 14th April, and to ensure good karma and hope we don’t end up like flat Stanley’s on the Nevada desert we thought we’d better raise some money for charity!
We’ve chosen to dive for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, who fund research into a cure for type 1 diabetes. Type 1 is most commonly diagnosed among people from infancy to 30 years old and requires regular injections of insulin during the day. Diabetes does induce a change in lifestyle, not only for the person diagnosed but also for the family, particularly when it’s a child who needs help adjusting to their new routine.
The JDRF not only funds research but also supports children and families adjust through information packs and their schools programme. Please check out their work at www.jdrf.org.uk
We would like to contribute to the JDRF so that children and young people do not have to deal with this difficult disease/ lifestyle in future. We don't have a target so EVERY little helps!
**We haven't chosen our fancy dress outfit yet so anyone donating before Thursday 1st April can offer an idea - the sillier the better - and the person who donates most will be the final choice!
Thanks a bunch, Love from Jen and Rosh xxx
