We are here for anyone with epilepsy, their families, carers and employers. We campaign for improved healthcare and an end to stigma, influence policies that will affect the health, educational and social welfare of people with epilepsy and provide quality information and support services.

Story

Welcome to my fundraising page.

Having suffered my first seizure aged 18 and been diagnosed with epilepsy (after moving to Scotland) a year later, I found myself confused and with lots of unanswered questions.  How was this illness going to affect my life?  Were the side effects of my medication normal?  Would I ever get my driving licence back?

Epilepsy Scotland provided me with a wealth of information.  I felt reassured to learn that if controlled I could eventually lead a normal life.

Finding the right treatment for me was an awful process.  It was 'third time lucky' for me. However now that it's right I'm glad I persevered.

Now 25, I'm happy to say that I'm seizure free!  I have my licence back but more importantly for me I lead a full and active life.

This brings me nicely to what I’m doing to raise some money for this great charity:

1. Troon 10k on 6th May

2. Zip slide across the Clyde on 17th May

I'm keen to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity as I have first hand experience of the fabulous work they do! So please give generously!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Scotland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you very much for your donation!
