The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the next couple of months I will be cutting at least 12 inches of my hair and donating it to the Little Princess Trust. This donation will go to making  a wig for a poorly child.

Although wigs made with donated hair are free of cost to the charity, they do also have to purchase some wigs to get the best fit for a child. On average, these purchased wigs cost £350, so I would love to be able to raise this amount too as well as give my hair donation.

In 2012 my cousin Becky died of leukemia. She had been battling against it for 7/8 years and had gone into remission twice. She was 25 years old when she died. Despite everything she went through she was a happy and brave person. I want to do this in memory of her, and to do something that might just give a little confidence boost to the children who receive their wigs from the Little Princess Trust.
