Although in this country we are in the middle of a recession, we are all pretty lucky to have the quality of life and standard of living that we have. 

We take for granted the clean water that we drink, the nutritious food that we eat, the warm comfortable homes we live in, the quality education system and the fantastic health care we have available to us. 

Not every human being is so lucky and this depends on where you are lucky enough or unlucky enough to be born.  Nobody chooses to be born into poverty, but we can choose to help those who are. 

Save the Children does wonderful work to protect children from exploitation, poverty and hunger whilst providing education and access to healthcare.
