Thanks so much for visiting my justgiving page. 

I made it! on Sunday 9th May, I ran my first 10k. What a brilliant experience, I couldn't recommend it more.  From all the support from my generous sponsors, to the people lining the streets to cheer you on, to all the musicians who turn out to provide a soundtrack to the day and all the encouragement from all the other runners,  the whole experience was incredible and spurred me on to keep going all the way round- meaning I finished in 68 minutes.  Given I had set myself a target of just keeping going- I was pretty pleased!  Thanks so much for your support, I am delighted that I have already smashed the fundraising target I had set- as I am sure are Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. Of course you can still dontate here on my page if you would like!! Thanks again xx

 I've been pounding the pavements round Partick for the past couple of months to train for this 10k on Sunday 9th May and thought it might be worth trying to raise a wee bit of money at the same time.  I'd like to donate to Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland as they're a charity who recently supported someone close to me, and it gave me a little insight into the fantastic service that they provide.

CHSS provides support to patients and their families when they need it most.  At a really confusing time, their nurses are available to give practical answers and advice, with patience, insight and understanding.

If you're interested in finding out more about what they do then you can have a wee read of their website www.chss.org.uk and if after doing that you'd like to make a wee donation via my page then I would hugely appreciate it. If appropriate then remember to Gift Aid it.

I've genuinely never been much of a runner so I'm looking forward to the sense of achievement of getting myself round the 10k route! And hopefully I'll be doing that knowing its raised some money for a good cause.  I'll be sure to put some pictures up from the finish line [even though it might be 4 hours later!]
