UK Ironman 70.3 · 19 June 2011
Thanks for taking the time to visit JEREMY & CLAIRE'S JustGiving page.
As a lot of you are aware Claire had Breast Cancer last year and was treated at Reading Cancer ward.
Both of us have been taken back by how good the doctors and nurses are. Claire was one person of hundreds / thousands that go through the centre and the staff are always smiling, compasionate, funny and incredibly hard working.
We both would like to thank everyone there by making a collection and using the monies to purchase something that the ward needs. We are liasing with Berkshire Centre Fund to make this happen.
So.....what are we doing.
Claire has decided that I should go for the UK Ironman 70.3 and she will support! This race is a 1.9km swim, 90km bike and a half marathon to finish.
To make it more interesting and challenging I am going to try and qualify for the 70.3 World Championships. If I do NOT qualify my penalty is to double my donation from my company and personally - no pressure there then!
If you fancy making it more interesting may I suggest that you double your donation if I DO qualify only!!
We both realise that there are many charities to support and will appreciate any donation as it all adds up.
Please donate.
Thanks
Jeremy and Claire
