At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This has always been a very difficult subject for me to talk about, let alone broadcast on the internet. But I can't not do something to try and help.

My nanna was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease almost three years ago. Unpredictable and cruel, this disease is slowly stealing one of the most memorable and important people in my family and I's life.

It's so hard watching the effect that this has had on the entire family, and even more devastating to know that you cannot take anyone's pain away. But if my family and I can raise a little bit of money to raise awareness, or make things slightly easier for somebody.. it would mean quite alot. I'm so lucky to have a family that is so close and supportive, but not everyone is.

Please, if you can give anything at all to help a cause so close to my heart we would be so grateful. It's time to stop pretending this disease doesn't exist.
