As you will all know Dad passed away from pancreatic cancer on June 1st. He only began to suspect something was wrong in the February before, when he started getting stomach pains. After been diagnosed in March he had one bout of chemo which completely knocked him for six and he very quickly deteriorated. He was supported incredibly kindly right to the end by his friends and family who all loved him so much. He was an incredibly kind and fair man with a lot of wisdom and a massive sense of fun and silliness.

On March 2nd Michael Ollerenshaw, my uncle, also passed away from pancreatic cancer. We are all still in total shock about it and it took Michael even more quickly than it did Daddy. I wanted to update this page as I will now be running in memory of both of these wonderful men. Michael was very funny and I always thought he had the best taste in music of anyone I knew (sorry Daddy).  

The charity Pancreatic Cancer UK raises funds for research into understanding and treating this type of cancer and hopefully our help will go some way to supporting this aim. My very simple hope is that we can arm doctors with the knowledge they need to be able to treat and cure this disease.
