Story
In July 2008 Jessica Levine aged 27, sadly lost a 4 year battle against cancer. Throughout her illness she endured various different courses of chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, a bone marrow transplant and radiotherapy. During these 4 years the care provided from the staff at ward 1 at Hull Royal Infirmary was remarkable. This along side the support from her loved ones definitely helped Jessica to remain brave and positive throughout her treatment. Jessica's bravery touched the hearts of so many, her ability to keep smiling until the very end really was a true inspiration.
I have decided to continue supporting Macmillan Cancer Support who looked after Jessica in her final days and also took care of my grandma who passed away some time ago. I am sure many of you will have come into contact with the Macmillan nurses while visiting relatives or friends and will agree what a wonderful job they do, not only supporting the patients but also the families in such difficult times.
To date an amazing ammount of money has been raised through your kind donations and I am pleased to say that the website will remain open to make donations or alternatively cheques can be made out to "Macmillan Cancer Support" (please contact Victoria on 07740 628623 for address details). I also have plans for future events and will keep you updated through this website.
Many thanks to all all of you, with love from Victoria
