Story
To all those who have supported my fundraising for The Gurkha Welfare Trust: I’m very sorry to inform you that just a few days before taking on my first London Marathon, I’ve suffered a knee injury and am unable to run this weekend.
This is a huge disappointment for me. I was proud to be representing my Brigade and to raise funds to help my country and fellow Gurkhas recover from the earthquakes. I also regret that I won’t be able to complete the marathon for all the generous donors who sponsored me.
However I am able to postpone my participation to next year’s London Marathon. If you are able to maintain your donation, The Gurkha Welfare Trust’s earthquake response team will put it to vital use in Nepal. However, if you would like to reclaim your donation, they will be happy to help if you email them at info@gwt.org.uk.
Thank you for your support and I will be back next year.
Best wishes,
Jiban
