WELL I DID IT!

I was pleased with my 7 hour 3 mins achievement, although if I'd have looked at my stop watch I would definitely have put a spurt on for the last 3 mins to come in under 7 hours! 

London was great fun to observe under the stars.  I listened to the live results of the Euro Vision Song Contest and the Gabby Cabbie (Five Live) all the way round as well as the details of the politicians expenses!!!!

At the expense of my right big toe I completed the walk, I have since done another charity walk for St Ann's Hospice Manchester and may lose two toes!

Thank you for visiting my 2009 MoonWalk Marathon fundraising page.

This is my first London MoonWalk Marathon (the others have been in Scotland) and I'm looking forward to enjoying the sites of the capital under the moonlight along with 14,999 other walkers in bras! 

I hope to complete the 26.1 miles in around 7 hours and I'll pass the time planning my kitchen and choosing paint colours.

To date I have raised around £2700 taking part in MoonWalks with the Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID) and cancer being the main benefactors.  Thank you to all of you have sponsored me.

This year I have decided to raise funds solely for breast cancer, which I know is something that has touched many of our lives in one way or another. 

I wasn't going to ask for sponsorship, but now that the day has finally arrived and because so many of you have asked about donating I thought I'd set up a site and would really appreciate a small donation.

In turn I promise to update you on my progress tomorrow, after I've had a nap of course!  I'm mentally preparing myself for miles 15 and 21, which have been the killers for me in the past!!  At least this time there's no drive to Edinburgh and back.  Just 26.1 miles, walking under the stars from midnight until 7am!  You'll be pleased to know I'm flying to London to save my legs for later.
