Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've decided to cycle from Land's End to John O' Groats and you can follow the plans, preparation and other inane ramblings on my blog;
http://joelslejog.blogspot.co.uk/
Obviously as you're here you'll realise that I'm doing the event for charity and one of my chosen charities is the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (http://www.cftrust.org.uk/). My other charity is the Stroke Association.
I am raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust because my cousin's daughter, Maisie has Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases and affects over 9000 people in this country. It affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus which makes it hard to breathe and digest food. With your donations, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust can fund research to develop a cure and provide effective treatment for CF, and hopefully give people like Maisie a better life.
Please give as much as you can to support this worthy and important cause. I'll be doing the challenge on my own and it will be self-funded so all the money you give will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (apart from the small fee taken by JustGiving).
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate any amount that you feel able to give. Please also gift aid your donation if possible as this will add an extra amount to the donation at no extra cost to you.(small print below, except it's no smaller and it's in italics).
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
