Samaritans are funded entirely by donations, and the Solent swim is one of the key fundraisers. Having personally benefitted from their support I'm happy to pull on a wetsuit for the third occasion and try to improve on my previous crossing times!  I'm a strong but never fast swimmer and it has taken 6 months of training to get down to the qualifying time. If I get my navigation right this year I'm hoping to get below an hour!
