A few years ago I ran into various problems, one of which was I diagnosed with bad prostate cancer (but it showed few signs of having spread) but it was well dealt with by the NHS and now I regard myself as cancer clear, but not everyone can be as lucky.

Prostate Cancer UK exists to spread information about this cancer, to fund research and to help those affected by it; men and their families. I help spread the word but I've never raised funds for them before.

My friend Wendy gave me this as a birthday present; I will be abseiling down the Titan Crane in Clydebank on the afternoon of Sunday, 14th September between 2 and 3 (exact time to follow and other details to follow). I have never done anything like this before. I am, gulp, nervous but there was a guy called Roy who did a lot of stuff for this charity even when in a wheel chair and even tho' I'm not specifically  doing it for him, I know he'll be kinda watching over me.

Please give generously.
