The Free Representation Unit (FRU) is a charity dedicated to providing free legal representation to those who cannot afford to pay, before Tribunals in the Greater London area where legal-aid is unavailable. Founded in 1972, FRU is one of the country's foremost providers of free legal service.

Story

Time for the annual 110 km hilly Cape Argus Cycle Race round the Cape Town peninsular in which I try to raise much needed funds for the Free Representation Unit - especially needed with the government's proposed changes to employment tribunals. I hope to improve my position in the race, though the time depends on the wind conditions.

2009 4h 34; 8337 out of 25535

2008 3h 50; 10694 out of 28303

2007 3h 47; 9859 out of 28843

It would be great to raise £1500 for FRU. Please make a totally secure donation through Justgiving which gives FRU tax benefit.

Results now in! A fantastic day, sunshine and no wind but I was under the weather! 4h 8m 47s, 11074 out of 28676. I'm slipping backwards! Thanks for supporting FRU.
