Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Since 1991 my team, the Tartan Terrors, have played charity cricket matches against all-comers. This year, on Saturday 14th June, they will take the field against the Suffolk Gents for the 3rd time. The Gents are skippered by David Mountford (retired Kings Troop Vet) and I will have several of my fellow ex-cavalrymen on my side.
Both David and I have been particularly struck by the sacrifices that our troops have been making in Iraq and Afghanistan. So we decided that we should put our efforts into fundraising for Help for Heroes this year. It is a fabulous charity that has raised over £5m since it was founded last Autumn, but it knows how to deploy its funds most effectively so that our servicemen get world class treatment if they are wounded. We think this is the least they deserve. Don’t you?
Please make a donation to Help for Heroes, so that when 22 rather unfit, middle-aged men play each other in June, they know they are doing it for an excellent cause.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
Yours aye,
Johnny
