RIDE ACROSS BRITAIN (Land's End to John O'Groats) · 10 September 2016

Afasic is the UK charity representing children and young people with speech, language and communication disabilities, working for their inclusion in society and supporting their parents and carers. Afasic helps them get the support they need to reach their potential and improve their life chances.

Story

I am delighted to confirm that I have completed my ride from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise awareness and funds for Afasic. You can read my daily blog of the journey  on this link. http://www.afasic.org.uk/support-us/supporting-an-event/johns-incredible-journey-for-afasic/

Here is the story: Many children and young people worldwide have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). A disability that results in them finding it hard to talk or understand language. AFASIC (a registered charity) helps them and support their families. I am sure that you are aware of the positive difference that effective clear communication can make to everyday personal and professional life. You may even know someone who might benefit from the amazing support that AFASIC provide. Like me you may even know someone who has received support and is now has a "voice for life" .

That is why I have cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats (Ride across Britain) – 965 miles in 9 days starting on 10th September 2016.

If you would still like to recognise my achievement and support AFASIC to help children have a “voice for life”, you can still do this by donating through JustGiving. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. And they’ll send your money directly to the charity. If you're a taxpayer then identify yourself as eligible for GiftAid and Afasic will be able to claim 25p for every £1 you donate
