Wooden Spoon - End 2 End 2011 · 20 August 2011 ·

Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. Our vision is that through the power of rugby every child and young person across the UK & Ireland, no matter what their background has access to the same opportunities.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After Jon and Jonny completed the Lakeland Challenge last year raising upwards of £6000 for Wooden Spoon they decided to set themselves the challenge of riding from John O'Groats to Lands End, again to raise money for the amazing Wooden Spoon Charity (working to raise money for disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK) Unfortunately for them I intercepted the e mail and decided I would join the team!!

Jon and I will be leaving our 2 children James 8 and Isla 6 for 7 days to do the cycle starting on the 20th August 2011. The training is gruelling and time consuming especially when we have such a young family but we feel it is worth every ache and pain!

We hope to double the amount we raise for Wooden Spoon and give another lump of money to research into Colon cancer (which some of you may know my mum is currently being treated for)

We can't thank you enough for donating to our Just Giving page, especially in a time when we are all watching our finances. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Our heart felt thanks,

Lorna, Jon and Jonny
