Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Throughout the coming seven months our family (even Mum!) will be taking part in various sponsored physical activities in order to raise money for the Hospice of St Francis (Berkhamsted). These events will include: a whole family 24 hour 'Jones Gymathon', a 100km London to Brighton walk and a summit climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.

A local charity that relies heavily on charitable donations in order to maintain operations, a massive 80%, the Hospice of St Francis provides professional support and care for people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses, as well as providing emotional support to those coping with bereavement.

It is therefore crucial that this legacy of fundraising is maintained in order to ensure that the work at the hospice continues. With this in mind (and hopefully to encourage you to donate!) here are some examples of exactly how your contributions could help:

£5 could pay for an evening support call to a family coping with bereavement.

£25 could pay for a day's supply of oxygen for a patient with breathing difficulties.

£150 could keep the Community Specialist Nurse Team on the road for two weeks.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
