SOS Children's Villages UK offers unsupported children worldwide the chance to grow up in a safe and nurturing family environment with education and healthcare. We work to reduce family breakdown and child abandonment and protect at-risk children affected by conflict and disaster.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I let the UK on March 26th 2014 to cycle to Australia on my own and carrying all that I need on my trusty old (c1980) Marin steel mountain bike which I have adapted for road use. My route is France Italy Slovenia Croatia Serbia Bulgaria Turkey Georgia Azerbaijan Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan China Laos Thailand Malaysia Indonesia and Australia. It is now March 2015 and after 15500+ miles (25000+ kms)  I have made it to Melbourne in Australia to see my daughter who is living here.

My blog page is www.justpoppingoutforacycleride.wordpress.com

I have decided to try and raise much needed funds for SOS Childrens Villages. Please see the link to their web site :-
