Summer of 2011, I am riding my Welsh x Hackney mare, Sunbeam Lacey, down from John O'Groats to Lands End. I will be 19 at the time, and believe to be the youngest person to ever ride that journey completly alone (besides Lacey) without back up.

I intend to stay at B&Bs, friends and friends of friends along the way, and will pay the costs completly myself so all donations go straight to the charity.

My dad works abroad, and when I visited him, I saw the awful treatment horses and donkeys get abroad. They're forced to carry 2 fully grown men at the same time as pulling a heavy load in 35C+ temperatures. They're usually underweight and covered in sores. They badly need The Brooke's help.
