Story

I think most of you reading my story will understand why I have chosen to make CRUK my chosen charity and most of you will have been affected in some way by cancer.

In 2010 I watched a second good friend lose her Mum to this horrible disease. She said to me at that time, I hope you never have to go through this but if you did I would be there for you too.

Neither of us in that moment had any idea how real that would become when only 8 months later my dear Mum was diagnosed with cancer.

I knew, I don't know how, and it wasn't a pessimistic thing, but I knew she wasn't going to make it and therefore all I could hope was that she didn't suffer.

It all happened so fast and just a few weeks after diagnosis my Mum slipped away while we, her loved ones, sat by her bedside.

Just 6 weeks before she had been climbing mountains, spending hours tending to her beautiful garden and really enjoying life. It reminded me that you really do never know the minute and so as Mum and I used to say "One Life, Live it".

Go and grab life with both hands, don't waste any opportunities, don't wait for things to happen - make them happen. So get up, this is your time to make a change, decide what you want and go for it.

"One Life, Live it".

Thanks for visiting my page and to everyone who is helping and supporting me to reach my target.

Love Jude
