Story
Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
On Sunday 23 May I ran Edinburgh marathon! All 26,2 miles of it in 25 degrees heat, the highest temperatures ever recorded in Scotland in May! Despite the heat and a lot of struggling I came home in 4 hours 09 minutes and 51 seconds! It was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life!
I ran the marathon in support of Diabetes UK so please show your support and sponsor me today!
There are currently over 2,5 million people living with diabetes in the UK. Unfortunately diabetes can strike at any point, no matter how young the person is. And unfortunately a few of my wonderful friends are living with the condition. Currently it is a life-long condition that requires constant care and treatment. Diabetes UK charity provides funding into research, raises awareness and vitally, provides help and support to people living with diabetes. They work towards a future without diabetes and ultimately, finding a cure.
By running this marathon I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for Diabetes UK so that they can continue with their work in helping people live and deal with diabetes. So please be generous and sponsor me today!
You can catch-up with my training in my weekly blog http://www.realbuzz.com/blogs/u/Julia_L/wonder-woman-strikes-again/.
