Story
Which would you choose - Muscular Dystrophy or Down’s Syndrome? My 10 year old niece, Ginny, has Muscular Dystrophy and my 3 year old nephew, Alexander, has Down’s Syndrome.
I couldn’t decide, so have decided to raise funds for both charities while running the London Marathon this year.
Ginny has a type of Muscular Dystrophy that affects the muscles all over her body, especially in her back and legs, making it difficult to sit up unsupported and unable to stand. She uses an electric wheelchair and needs a breathing mask most of the day and all night, yet is an active Guide, plays a mean game of Scrabble and is going to the local school in September where she is looking forward to learning Japanese.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the only UK charity focusing on muscle disease and offers practical medical and emotional support to families across the country. I know Ginny and her family have found their help and advice very useful.

Donations can be made by credit or debit card and if you confirm you are a UK tax payer, Gift Aid of 28% in tax can be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you for your support
