Royal Parks Half Marathon 2010 · 10 October 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Here at Kao brands we always love a bit of a challenge, so we jumped at the chance to run in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 10th October 2010.
We will be running the event in support of the HAIRraising charity.
HAIRraising is a fundraising appeal by the hairdressing industry to help raise £1 million towards new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Founded by John Frieda and leading lights of the hairdressing world, the appeal asks salons to raise money by organising fundraising events and inviting customers to add a £1 donation to their bill.
As owners of the John Frieda brand and range of products, we at Kao were super keen to show some support to our good friend John Frieda and raise as much money as we possible can to support the HAIRraising appeal and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Great Ormond Street Hospital has the largest centre for children needing brain surgery in the country, however it badly needs new facilities to help meet the increasing demand for its specialist care. The money we raise will be put towards two new operating theatres at the hospital.for more details on HAIRraising please follow this link http://www.gosh.org/hair-raising/
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now - any donations wil be hugely appreciated as will be your support on the day! For more details on the Royal Parks Half Marathon route please see the following http://www.royalparkshalf.com/runners/race-details/route-map/
