Story
We thought it would be a bit of an adventure to climb Mount Toubkal in North Africa and raise money for The Essex Air Ambulance in the process. That was until we went on a training weekend to Wales and realised that one of us does not like hills and the other one does not like camping!!!
We both work in Essex and like many people these days, spend a lot of time on the roads. Therefore we consider The Essex Air Ambulance to be a vital service that can often attend emergencies where road ambulances may struggle to get to or take longer. So despite disliking hills and sleeping in sleeping bags, we are proud to be undertaking this climb (all 4167 metres of it) in aid of this charity, trying to support them to keep the service running. We need to raise a lot of money so as well as appreciating any donation you can make, we are trying to organise some charity events such as a comedy night, ladies pamper evening and quiz night, so we’ll keep the site updated with details of these. If you can make any of them, please bring your family and friends along too.
Thank you for your support.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
