Story
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It's been a long time since I bothered you for money, so I hope you'll agree that this cause is worthy of your support:
In less than 2 months I'll swim 6km (for the first time), in cold water (for the first time) in the River Avon, Devon. At the end, the current will help me (the 'swoosh') and I expect to finish in about 1.5hrs. I am obliged to wear a wetsuit, but will probably get rather chilly! This will be a real challenge, hence my plea for your support.
I remember my grandfather teaching me to swim when I was a child, and since then I have LOVED the freedom and otherworldliness of being in water. Level Water is a small local charity which offers disabled children the opportunity to share this wonderful experience, helping them to swim and building confidence which affects many other aspects of their lives.
Please dig into your pockets for me and the kids supported by Level Water. THANK YOU!!
(The Swoosh is on 24th June if you want to send positive vibes too!)
