Story
My mother was a nurse and she not only worked in a hospice, but died in a hospice. I have chosen the 12th December to shave my head, as this is the day she died, the saddest day of my life. She lost her hair to chemotherapy, but totally rocked it. Although I only had 13 years with you, I feel like you taught me so much and I will forever love you ❤️
Suzy Freake only left us a couple of days ago, spending her last few weeks in the Hospice in the Weald. The 2nd of October was the last time I saw her (pictured) and she said she couldn't have been in a better place. I love you Suzy and I will never forget our care free, fun and creative teenage years ❤️
The Hospice in the Weald is not NHS funded. They rely on support from our community and each year must raise £7 million to provide for the patients and their families. Every little pound helps, so please sponsor me and ensure that more people like mum and Suzy can have a peaceful and comfortable end to their lives.
