Centrepoint Sleep out 2010 · 11 November 2010 ·

Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homeless charity. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year. Our award-winning helpline provides support to vulnerable young people across the country. We campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Thursday 11th November 2010, I'll be 'sleeping out' for London's largest youth homeless charity and Arsenal's Charity of the Season 2010/11, Centrepoint.

Arsenal aims to raise £500,000 to help fund the refurbishment of a state-of-the-art centre in Soho for homeless young people.  The centre will help them to develop essential life skills to get back on their feet and stay off the streets permanently.

Centrepoint houses and supports around 800 homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 25 every night.

For the past five years, hundreds of Centrepoint supporters have given up their bed for the night and taken part in the 'Sleep Out.'  This year's event is at Old Spitalfields Market.  The event does not re-create homelessness, it is not a tough physical challenge, and I'm not taking risks with my personal safety. It will just raise much needed funds for Centrepoint.

Thank you!
