Katherine's 2.6 Challenge - Live from lockdown

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
My brilliant colleagues at Saffron provide free therapy for women in Sheffield who've lived through trauma and abuse. We are overwhelmed with demand for the service, and the impact of therapy for our clients is profound.
We have kept our service going through lockdown (via telephone) and we know we are even more needed at the present time, and that we will be very much needed on the other side of Covid-19.
Our fundraising has been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. We fund a substantial part of our service by hiring out therapy rooms, which we are no longer able to do. Similarly, all of our face-to-face fundraising activity has stopped.
But with your support we can adapt and keep this crucial work going, to support survivors of abuse and trauma through the pandemic and in its aftermath.
Okay, so that brings me to the singing. Those of you who know me well know I rarely stop singing, but as soon as you point a recording device at me I instantly go wrong. My arena of choice is an informal living room singalong late on in the evening, and a live stream feels quite lonely and exposed by contrast! So rest assured, this strange context is a new challenge for me and very much worthy of your sponsorship!
As a thank you for your kind and generous sponsorship, I will invite you to the live stream. I'm still undecided on the set-list, but trawling through my usual favourite dirges from old American and old Irish songs, possibly with a smattering of pop to cheer things up, we'll see!
The live stream will take place on Sunday 3rd May at 8pm, see you there Xxx
