At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

So I have decided to do several challenges this year with a number of friends. It isn't going to be easy and will not be pretty (gurning gym face anyone?) but I am determined to put the training in to achieve this.

  • Colour run -completed
  • Moonlight 8mile walk - completed
  • Mud 7 obstacle race - completed
  • 10K run around Stoke - completed
  • Wild warrior - 23rd Sept- completed
  • Manchester Half Marathon - 15th October - completed
  • Mud warrior - completed
  • Newcastle Way - Marathon
  • Tough Mudder

This is something close to my heart and I'm sure close to many other people's heart. It is an illness that not only affects the person but the whole family. It is heartbreaking watching someone you know struggle to complete tasks which were second nature to them. It's only fair that I'm going to struggle in return to help raise money for this cause. I don't like running, fear heights and not particularly a fan of getting dirty plus I am unfit. Please dig deep and support this.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
