Story

Hello, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page. A little something about what the walk involves and why I am doing it, then I'll try and get to grips with technology and put some photos on the page, just for a laugh.......!!     The Charity (there are 2), MacMillan cancer care support, Im sure we all have been touched at some point in our family or our personal lives with the sadness that this brings.  I think the need to support such a more than worthy charity speaks for itself. There is a second charity that is very close to me that  I would very much like to help raise greatly needed funds..... Macintyre Charitable Organisation. This is a charity, based all over England to support special needs for all ages, but Macintyre {Wingrave} look after children and young adults  until the age of 19, these young people live and are schooled on site, the staff are extremely dedicated, and work  in some very challenging situations. Macintyre relies heavily on donation, so the more  I can raise to share between my two charities them the better. The Walk...... I will be walking the MacMillan way, in one go ( injury allowing ) ,  from Boston in Lincolnshire to Abbotsbury in Lym Regis  290 miles, with 2 dogs and my 2 man tent...!  phew.... The final mileage walked will total 312 miles, as I intend to walk all round the lake, up in ruttland water and  the last 2 miles in Abbotsbury down to the beach. I have 3 weeks to complete it in, so the dogs had better hurry me along, starting on the 31st August 2009. Please try and find it in you're heart to give generously, many thanks, Katie x x
