Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am walking 25 miles for Help for Heros in memory of a true Hero Ben Whatley on the 18th April 2009.
This walk is in memory of a young lad who went to Glebe House School. When he was at Glebe the school put a funday together which included this 25 mile walk. This young lad loved this walk so much that it made his decision to join the Marines. He left Glebe, then he went on to Litcham High School and then enrolled on a Uniformed Service Course at The College of West Anglia, Kings Lynn. This young lad went on to become one of the Royal Marine's from 42 Commando.
His names Ben Whatley, He was killed in action in Afganistan on Christmas Eve. Ben was a great friend and a true bootneck through and through.
Please can you sponsor me a few pennies to help me raise a good amount of money for Help for Heroes. This is a charity which helps support Servicemen and Women who have been injured or affected by the front line.
Again Thank you for reading this page, please take a look at www.glebehouseschool.co.uk for more information. Any help to reach my target would be wonderful.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
