I am running this years London Marathon as part of Team Hospice 2013 and in memory of Annie Cooke who was a local friend who sadly lost her battle with cancer on Christmas Eve 2012.

My training so far......

January 2013 I have now started pounding the streets, country lanes and coastal paths in preparation for what is a huge challenge, the enormity of running 26.2 miles is just coming home to me as I gradually increase the distance I am covering.

I still have plenty of long, hard hours in the dark and cold mornings, nights and at weekends. I am now running 6 days a week and it is tough training and working full time but the North Devon Hospice is a worthwhile cause as you can see from the information below.

North Devon Hospice

North Devon Hospice is a local charity, supporting individuals and families who are faced with the impact of a life-limiting illness.  Whilst many of the patients have been diagnosed with cancer, they also care for people with heart failure, Motor Neurone disease, liver failure, dementia and other life-limiting illnesses.  They provide care and support across North Devon, helping over 100 people every day, completely free of charge.

So please dig deep to make it all worthwhile and help to support this worthy cause which relies entirely on donations to continue it's work.
