ALL SYSTEM GO...... WEDNESDAY 5th AUGUST 9.30 AM

The first day was the hardest, i was sick, got overturned 3 times. overturned at Dodman Point near where its just cliffs for about 3 miles, lost my cap & broke my MP3 player. stopped for the night at Hennick beach at Boswinger in my tent.

Day 2 thurs 6th august, passed another worrying point for me, Falmouth river, local boat had to tow me part way accross the river as the shipping lanes were really busy with peak season traffic. very sunburnt with chapped lips cos i lost my cap & no company cos i lost my MP3player! stopped for the night just after Manacle point in my tent.

Day 3 fri 7th august,  arms aching and face burnt, crossed another worrying point for me, Black Head. wasnt as bad as i expected cos weather was perfect & sea was flat! found my self not being able to eat much for the last couple of days just fruit and water. just before i came in to land, i overturned  i sunk my mobile phone that i had been taking pictures with! gutted! stopped at church cove/kynance cove, wife & kids came to meet me, bought 2 caps & sunburn treatment.  from here i could see my final stopping point in the distance, id done the worst part & all the points i was worried about! set up my tent.

Day 4sat 8th august, headed for Penzance to stay in my tent for the final time then off the next day on my final journey! didnt quite make it as far as i hoped today, completely drained, made it to St Michaels Mount. didnt sleep too good last night, need a good night's sleep! last leg tomorrow.

Day 5, sun 9th august. sooooooo glad its over set off about 6 and landed at prothcurno (last beach before lands end) about 12. thought this last leg would have been easy but i underestermated it! there was a couple of miles with choppy swell, overturned again Due to a rock near porthcurno. its good to be home, its been a long 5 days!
