Story
A Team of us from Kennet are running the Birmingham Half Marathon 2014 to raise money for the British Lung Foundation.
We are doing this in memory of one of our colleagues' mums. Vicki Jeynes lost her mum to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in February 2014. Work undertaken by the British Lung Foundation - and their ongoing research - will hopefully find a cure for this dreadful disease.
Our runners range in age from 29 to 45. Some of us are Pavement Plodders, others are serious runners. We are all united in the goal of reaching not only the finish line, but our fundraising target for what is a very worthy and personal cause.
Thank you for taking the time to read our page. And an even greater thank you to those who have donated. However small the amount you give, it all goes towards our ambitious goal of £1,000.
Our runners for 2014 are Vicki, Cara, Steve, Laura, Ronnie, Jude, and Jackie. Rachel Smith of Grenke Leasing will also be joining us.
