Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

**UPDATE**

We completed our event on Friday. There were many ups and downs. Seeing a road sign for Harwich showing a distance of 12 miles then going the wrong way and adding another 13 miles to our journey, downer! Having a big meal after completing the first leg of the Holland cycle, upper!

A big thanks to the police officers from Arnhem who met us and cycled the remaining 60 miles or so. Hopefully you guys will join us over here soon!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. We are not too far off from our target. Please pass this on to friends and family to help us achieve our total.

Thanks again

****UPDATE - 11/09/09****

We have 5 days left to the big day now. Apart from one or two of us (no name George or Kenny) the training is going well and everything is prepared. The local press will be seeing us off on Wednesday so take a look in the Croydon papers over the next few weeks.

A big thanks to everyone who has helped us achieve 50% of our target. Please pass this site onto friends and family who may wish to help us further

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Starting on the on the 16th and finishing on the 18th of September 2009, Kenny Parker, George Shannon, Mike Newbrook, Lance Lamnea, Mark Major and Neil Dowthwaite will cycle 200 miles from Croydon Police Station South London to Arnhem Police Station in Holland.

As well marking the 65th anniversary of Operation Market Garden (which links towns of Croydon and Arnhem) we will be cycling to raise valuable funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now and imagine the pain our arses will be in!
