We fund research into pregnancy problems to save babies' lives
Story
On 21st March, I will be running in the Reading half
marathon to raise money for Tommy's baby charity.
Tommy's is a charity dedicated
to the research and information around pregnancy issues like
miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth..
I want to raise as much as I can so it REALLY makes a difference. I had a twin myself, who didn't make it through the pregnancy and I was the one who made it to be born so its definitely something which is close to heart. Watching some of the videos (particularly Harriet's story -http://vimeo.com/7081836) has helped me understand how difficult an experience it is and gives you a really good insight into the problems surrounding pregnancy. It may not seem as
pressing as other major problems like poverty or child abuse, but
despite the advances in medical care, even today, ONE IN FOUR will lose a
baby during pregnancy and birth.
We spend so much time looking out for ourselves, and wasting our money on stuff we don't really need. Here's your chance to make a difference, it literally takes a few seconds to donate. Let's give every baby the chance to be born healthy..
So, please donate whatever you can, even if it's as little as £1.. it's still something!
Tommy's funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage, and provides an information service about health in pregnancy.
