Story
When my friend Jake told me his girlfriend was growing her hair so that she could donate it to The Little Princess Trust, I realised I had to do the same. The moment I found out about this charity and what it does to support children & young people, I just knew I had to donate and raise some funds as a contribution. The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24 that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers and receives no formal funding.
My hair is always something that I have felt a bit precious about and I wouldn't even go to a hairdresser for over 3 years for a trim, choosing to take care of those split ends myself, to make sure and maintain as much length as possible. Learning about the trust and what they do and the difference it makes to a young person's life made me realise, I just had to contribute. The haircut will be taking place on the 24th September and as much as my hair will make a difference, all financial contributions really help go a long way. It costs the charity £550 to make one real hair wig and this, along with the money they need to fund research into childhood cancer will offer such support so please help to raise money for The Little Princess Trust so that they can help more families. Your contribution is so greatly appreciated.
