I've done Race For Life for the past few years now, so I thought I'd try something different this year: the Shine night-time marathon walk. Yep, eight hours of walking! Entrants can choose a specific cancer for their donations to go towards, and I've chosen prostate cancer in memory of my grandfather Ian Ellis, who died of prostate cancer in 1995.

It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
