Story

On the 7th December my family and I will be travelling back to Peru for the first time since the pandemic, to spend time with the team, children and families we support.

We will be donating a wheel chair, building a standing station and an elastic therapy bed for 2 children desperately in need of help.

Emerson is just 3 and has Cerebral Palsy. He needs a wheel chair to be able to move around. He has never had a chair before and it will enable him to leave the house and experience more freedom of movement that he currently lacks. He also needs a standing station to enable him to stand and build muscles in his legs.

Jerimias is also 3 and has Autism. He needs an elastic bed to help him with his therapy. It will assist with his fine motor skills and sensory development.

My children and I will purchase, build and gift the above items when we are in Mancora visiting the Mama Cocha team over the next few weeks and are super excited to share our experience with you all!

I am contributing towards their needs this Christmas instead of giving presents to my family and am hoping others will feel able to make a gift towards these essential items to improve the quality of life of 2 children most deserving and in need this Christmas.

What better gift to give than the gift of mobility and freedom to move!
