Give it up for human rights · 10 December 2014

Amnesty International UK is movement of ordinary people standing up for humanity and human rights. Some of our campaigns includes refugees, climate change, children's rights, women's rights, and conflict-affected countries. When we unite even the smallest acts of humanity make a difference.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Knox Academy's Amnesty International and Rights Respecting School's JustGiving page.

Students and teachers are choosing to take part in a sponsored activity which must be related to a human right. Each participant looks through the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to choose one they are interested in promoting. Then they will choose an activity which relates to that particular article. For example, doing a sponsored silence will relate to Article 19 'Everyone has the right to freedom of expression'. A list of participants relinquishing rights for the school day are detailed below.

Mrs Liane Montgomery, Ms Helen Brannigan and Ms Deon Dill

Aleksandr Marshall, Molly Hastie, Hamish Hastie, Kyra Rothon, Ailsa Wrinn, Caitrin Aylward, Kara Singh, Natalie Forrest, Saoirse Murphy-Collot, Katy Irving, Kirsty Adair, Abbi Robertson
