Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Marathon Des Sables JustGiving page.  Hey by the way, when the video was made, I had actually just finished running 20KM.

I have choosen to take part in the toughest foot race on Planet Earth, because I want to test myself and throw myself into the deep end at the highest level.  So I will be running 5.5 marathons in 6 days through the sahara desert sands and 40 degrees celcius sun carrying all my equipment including food, water, sleeping bag, towel, clothing and everything else that I will be needing to survive the 6 days!

I wanted to take part on behalf of a charity so that I can give back to the world, the world that has provided so much for me. I have chosen Yorkshire Cancer Reseach as they have a strong track record wtih supporting Marathon Des Sables runners.  The proceeds that I raise will enable continuing research at the universities at Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, York, their associated teaching hospitals and the MRI Centre at Hull Royal Infirmary.

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now!!!!!!
