Story

Those of you that know me know I don't do things by halves...

I have been tempted by the Ultra White Collar Boxing and a Half Marathon for some time now and then all of a sudden decided to enter the Major Series 10k Mud Run. This gives me my three events for my Triple Challenge, as 3 is a magic number!

1. The Major Series - 10k Mud Run - Warwickshire....... I have been running now for almost 2 years on and off, so I can't say that I don't run. What I don't do though is run in water and mud and over obstacles, so The Major Series 10k is my first challenge that will test my fears and weaknesses. Challenge 1: Saturday 26th September.

2. Sporting Futures - City Half Marathon - Derby....... Next up, to follow on from that, I have entered the Derby City Half Marathon, which will challenge me in endurance and distance. I am comfortable with a 10k race now and my longest race to date has been Carsington 8+Mile, so this will push me to my limits with an extra 5 miles. Challenge 2: Sunday 11th October.

3. Ultra White Collar Boxing - Fight Night - Chesterfield....... I have been into Boxercise classes for quite some time now, but this fun, high cardio, pads and gloves based class will not be a patch on the training I will be undertaking in order to prepare me for a competitive fight in the ring. This Black Tie event at The iPro Stadium, Derby, will be the ultimate test of my mental and physical fitness. Challenge 3: Saturday 28th November.

All donations big or small are greatly appreciated and mean the world to me and those I am doing this in aid of.

Cancer affects so many of us in so many ways and until recently I hadn't been fully aware of how this horrible disease can change your life instantly. I want to give something back to help those who have been affected and continue to support this fantastic charity in the hope that one day we will find a cure and we will beat cancer!!!

Thanks, Lauren xxx
