Ines Terrahe

Inês Terrahe was a brilliant artist and doctor, an animal lover and activist, but above all, an incredible human being and a friend we will never forget.
Inês moved from Portugal to Germany two years ago to continue her internship in dermatology, and quickly made lots of friends due to her radiant and friendly personality.
By just being a few seconds around her, you would immediately be impressed by her contagious smile and kind attitude.
She made everyone feel welcome and welcomed everyone in her life.
Unfortunately, last Sunday (Feb 17th) Inês was a victim of violence against women, due to an abusive relationship and I would like to raise awareness of the importance of focusing on prevention to stop it. Let's together make sure that other women can find the help and resources they need to leave an abusive relationship and rebuild their lives.
Please let's not allow Inês to become a mere statistic, like so many other women.
On March 2nd, I will be doing a Spartan Race in Melbourne, and to make it more meaningful, I will do it for UN Women UK, to raise awareness and funds to fight against violence against women not only in the UK, but in the whole world.
Together we can help build a better world.
Thank you so much for your contribution.
