Story
It is with great sadness that we have lost our very much loved mum.
She was a loved mother, grandmother and recently a great grandmother; she was also a loved friend and a motherly figure to many people. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 7th May 2021 at her home with her family around her. She lived such a wonderful life.
She was 85 (coming to 86) and lived a very basic life full of simple living, traditional values, respect, sharing, love, kindness, happiness, family, friendship and more importantly she was loved by everyone she met.
She loved making and loved sharing food. A true legend! She could single handily put any of the current Master chefs to shame. She has past down so many classic Indian recipes/dishes down the family tree.
She will be so missed by all her family and we just hope her values carry on with us for the rest of our lives. A difficult time for us as a family but very much one of appreciation!
As a family we have decided to setup this donations page for friends and family who wish to donate to a good cause rather than bringing flowers as a way of paying their respects to her.
With regards to her simple living beliefs and sharing with others, we don't want to encourage any wastage of any natural resources. Any donations received will be given to her favorite charity 'Divine Onkar Mission' to help people in countries like India, especially during these challenging Covid times.
We thank you in advance for any donations made in remembrance of our mum.
With love,
Lakhanpal family
NB- NO FLOWERS PLEASE. THE FAMILY PREFER YOU TO DONATE RATHER THAN SEND FLOWERS. ALL MONEY WILL GO TO THOSE WHO NEED FOOD THE MOST
