I will be 60 years old in March 2023. To celebrate I have set myself a little challenge, to cycle around the coast of Iberia, from Barcelona to Barcelona, a total of approximately 4,000 kms, and to be successful it must be completed within 40 days.

Though I have always been 'sporty' I have only been cycling seriously for 3 years and I have never attempted anything like this before. So what makes this a real challenge is that I am nor sure if I can do it myself? To cycle 100 kms each day for 40 days, or hopefully more kms in less...

I call myself "the legs" because that is my only responsibility during this challenge, just to cycle. Living in the Netherlands the climbs are going to be a real test, but one I am looking forward to, apparently I am built like a climber? We will soon find out...

Jan Keijzer is a really good friend, more like family, and we have known each other for many years. Jan will be driving the camper and keeping me safe, while also cooking, washing, shopping etc... he will basically be doing everything so all I have to focus on is the cycling. Without Jan this trip would not be possible, I cannot thank him enough.

Clodagh Enright is my wife's cousin and is a businesswoman, so even though she is the youngest of the team, by far, she is the most mature and level-headed, her advice and practicality have proved invaluable while planning this little adventure.
